Well, the owner of L & M (Charlie) installed a new float (sending unit) in the two-part gas tank system opposite the fuel pump with new lines that connect the two tanks together. My Jaguar S-Type V-6 (base model) has two sending units that show the correct gas gauge fuel level (one on the fuel pump side and one on the other tank side. After installing the unit the installed lines somehow moved or twisted and this hung-up the float to when the gas tank was full it read only 3/4 full. True to his word, this work done under warranty was corrected. This happens sometimes after installing this independent float and lines between the two tank system. He inspected the problem and sure enough the lines had moved or twisted and this was hanging up the gas gauge to read only 3/4 full when it was in fact full. Charlie corrected the problem and I was back on the road with the problem solved. Many thanks for a job well-done. Onward and upward - from Scott.
